What we do
Our services extend beyond artwork of the x and y-axis. Katayama Framing is also your source for sculptural display solutions. We can create custom museum-quality pedestals as well as artifact display stands with acrylic boxes. If the sculpture is wall mounted, we can fabricate custom hardware to secure the piece safely and confidently to any substrate.
Just because we can do sky’s-the-limit design, we still love a challenge. We can create amazing framing within your budgetary needs. Not only do we stock a large selection of closeout mouldings, we have patterns that we stock in large volume to pass the savings on to you. We have also created a line of exclusive framing known as Katayama Elements; timeless, handcrafted framing in closed corner gold and silver metal leaf finishes as well as hardwoods in standard photo frame sizes.
Maybe you’ve inherited a great old piece of artwork, or just couldn’t walk past a flea market find. Perhaps the print is yellowed and acid burned from being incorrectly matted. Bring it in and let us assess it! We work closely with an esteemed group of restorers and print conservators who repair, neutralize, retouch and reprint your damaged photos and works on paper or canvas paintings. We re-cast ornamentation, re-gild, re-fit and can replicate frames for museums and collectors.
